The W’s Superguide 88 is an all-round touring ski from women. It features a rather narrow waist and a lightweight construction to help you climb snow clad slopes without getting exhausted. With sturdy reinforcements, it is also pleasant to ski when the time comes to descend. 

What is the program of the Scott W’s Superguide 88 ski? 

With its 86 mm waist and lightweight construction, the ski is pleasant and easy to use during the ascents. It will allow you to climb without burning your legs thanks to its paulownia and beech wood core that remains flexible and lightweight. It is not a light touring ski designed only for the climbs; the W’s Superguide 88 is also efficient in the descents, where its carbon and aramid reinforcements and full sidewalls on the entire length of the ski provide good torsional stiffness. This way, the ski remains stable and precise, even at high-speed. In addition, the classic camber and 3D Sidecut edges ensure secure grip on hard snow in the backcountry, while the front rocker facilitates the handling on softer snow.

How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.
