Product description — Thraxis Black

The K2 Thraxis snowboard boot is designed to push the limits. It features a premium HDR synthetic upper, an Intuition Pro Foam liner, and a Vibram V5 outsole. Its medium fit is designed for standard-width feet.

What are the features of the K2 Thraxis boots?

The Thraxis is a powerful and responsive boot, built for riding fast and hard. Its stiff flex provides plenty of support and precision with every step. The dual Boa Focus H4/M3 system with TX3 lacing allows you to tighten the forefoot and ankle separately, followed by the upper section, all with one hand—even while wearing mittens. The quick-lace liner with SpaceHeater locks the foot in place, while the Vibram V5 outsole absorbs shocks thanks to Harshmellow.

Who is the K2 Thraxis boot designed for?

This boot is designed for intermediate to expert riders who push hard and demand precise fit.

What are the main features of the K2 Thraxis boot?

Precision

Support

What does the dual Boa Focus system offer compared to a single dial?

It divides the lacing into two independent zones—the forefoot and ankle on one side, and the upper section on the other—to adjust the tension exactly where it’s needed.

Does the Thraxis absorb impacts well?

Yes. Its Vibram V5 outsole features Harshmellow technology, which absorbs shocks and vibrations.

Is the Thraxis’s flex suitable for freestyle?

Not really. Its stiff flex prioritizes support and speed over jibbing and presses.

What’s the difference between the Thraxis and the Theory?

Both feature dual Boa Focus lacing with TX3 and the same Vibram V5 Harshmellow outsole. The Theory has a more forgiving intermediate flex, while the Thraxis remains stiffer with its premium HDR upper and SpaceHeater liner.
