Product description — Cab Driver

The Amplid Cab Driver is an accessible, versatile freestyle snowboard designed to transition from the park to the trail without losing its playful feel. Its true twintip shape and medium flex make it more freestyle-oriented than the Memory Stick, with natural switch handling and enough responsiveness for jumps.

What is the Amplid Cab Driver snowboard designed for?

The Cab Driver is geared toward all-mountain freestyle, with a clear focus on kickers, rails, boxes, and side hits. Its 100% twintip shape is perfectly symmetrical, so you’ll find the same support in both regular and switch stances. Its hybrid camber maintains pop and grip underfoot, while the rocker at the tips provides more forgiveness during turns and landings.

Who is the Amplid Cab Driver snowboard designed for?

This board is designed for intermediate to advanced riders who want to develop their freestyle skills without limiting themselves to the park.

  • For kickers, rails, boxes, and side hits
  • For riding switch regularly
  • To maintain enough versatility between park sessions

A top choice if freestyle is a major part of your daily routine.

Avoid this board if you’re primarily looking for a carving board or a board for deep powder.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Amplid Cab Driver Snowboard

Does the Cab Driver perform well on rails?

Yes. Its medium flex, twin-tip design, and solid jibbing capabilities let you practice presses, spins, and switch exits.

Does the Cab Driver handle jump landings well?

Yes. The Pre-cured Impact Pads reinforce high-stress areas, and the board’s stability helps keep landings cleaner.

Can the Cab Driver be used outside the park?

Yes. It’s versatile enough to ride on the slopes and off-piste, but its primary focus is clearly freestyle.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
