Description

Very versatile, the Kill Switch from Amplid has serious all-mountain abilities. Big slash turns in pow, carving on groomed snow, side hits, it can do it all. It benefits from a directional shape, with a generous nose and tapered fish tail, as well as a slightly setback stance. It is easy to handle, turns are initiated naturally and it lifts immediately. However, it is less directional than a pure powder board and can ride switch no trouble, allowing to do some freestyle. Featuring a light classic camber, it offers secure grip on hardpack. The front and back rockers provide smoothness on soft snow and off-piste and allow to float in powder. Finally, the well-balanced flex allows to change paces, while enjoying good rebound in the turns thanks to its longitudinal carbon stringer. We recommend it from the intermediate/advanced level to snowboarders looking for performance above all.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
