The Singular D.w.e, the result of a collaboration between Peter Bauer of Amplid and artist Dr. Wolfenbergen, is a limited edition that gives the Singular an original design. It capitalizes on a directional twin shape, a combination of classic camber with a rocker present in both nose and tail, and a flex that finds the right balance between strength and suppleness.

What's in the Amplid Singular D.w.e snowboard program?

The Singular D.w.e sports a directional twin shape, benefiting from a nose and tail of identical dimensions to facilitate switching and freestyle maneuvers. The binding inserts are offset backwards to increase alpine maneuverability and improve buoyancy in powder. Traditional camber ensures excellent grip on compact snow and good dynamics for carving, while rocker zones offer a smooth transition from edge to edge and facilitate lift in powder. The board's construction is based on an Omni Core, reinforced with quadriaxial fibers, basalt strips and a central carbon reinforcement, combining lightness, a lively yet playful medium flex, and high-performance pop and rebound. The result is a board that's extremely fun to ride, that allows you to confidently take on downhill runs on piste or off-piste, and that also allows a few forays into freestyle.

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
