Product description — Soulmate

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Amplid Soulmate is a versatile, directional freeride snowboard designed for the groomed runs, carving, and powder, with a more accessible ride than the Singular. It remains responsive enough to help you improve without requiring the same level of commitment as a more technical board in the lineup.

What is the Amplid Soulmate snowboard designed for?

The Soulmate is a versatile freeride board with a slight on-piste focus, but comfortable enough in powder to serve as a one-board solution for the entire mountain. Its directional shape provides natural support in turns and promotes float when the snow gets deep. Its Cruise Camber hybrid camber maintains grip underfoot, while the rocker at the tips facilitates turn initiation and lift-off.

Who is the Amplid Soulmate snowboard designed for?

This board is designed for intermediate to advanced riders who want to improve on a versatile directional board without jumping straight into a very demanding design.

  • For plenty of on-piste riding and carving
  • To also enjoy powder days
  • For a rider looking for something simpler and more accessible than the Singular

A top choice if you’re looking for a versatile, reliable, and easy-to-handle board.

Not recommended if you’re looking for maximum technical performance or a true freestyle board.

Does the Soulmate handle well on groomed runs?

Yes. Its camber underfoot and directional shape provide solid control for stringing together turns and working on carving.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
