Product description — Surfari

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Amplid Surfari is a powerful, versatile freeride snowboard designed for big mountains, wide turns, and deep powder. More aggressive than the Singular and Soulmate models in the lineup, it’s clearly aimed at riders who love to pick up speed and keep their board planted when the terrain gets serious.

What is the Amplid Surfari snowboard designed for?

The Surfari is a versatile freeride board that clearly favors powder and challenging mountain lines, while still offering solid grip on the piste. Its directional shape clearly positions the nose forward for better turning and lift, while its 3D Crust Buster nose helps cut through crusty or groomed snow. Its hybrid camber, dubbed "Cruise Camber" by Amplid, combines grip and pop underfoot with greater forgiveness and floatation at the tips.

Who is the Amplid Surfari snowboard designed for?

This board is designed for advanced to expert riders who love to ride fast, push the limits in freeride, and make the most of a responsive board.

  • For fast, wide turns in open terrain
  • For deep powder and variable snow conditions
  • For a rider who’s comfortable with a board that’s more physically demanding than average

A top choice if big mountain and powder take priority over freestyle.

Avoid this board if you’re looking for a very forgiving board for relaxed riding or hitting multiple rails.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Amplid Surfari snowboard

Does the Surfari stay stable in bumpy conditions?

Yes. The Antiphase technology filters out vibrations, and the Zero 90 Carbon construction maintains precise responsiveness when the snow becomes uneven or hard.

Can the Surfari carve on the piste?

Yes. Its very pronounced grip and firm flex allow you to apply strong pressure and maintain control as speed increases.

Can you ride the Surfari switch?

Occasionally. Its longer tail makes technical switch maneuvers easier, but its shape remains directional, and its natural terrain is freeride.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
