The Amplid Surfari is a powerful, versatile freeride snowboard designed for big mountains, wide turns, and deep powder. More aggressive than the Singular and Soulmate models in the lineup, it’s clearly aimed at riders who love to pick up speed and keep their board planted when the terrain gets serious.

What is the Amplid Surfari snowboard designed for?

The Surfari is a versatile freeride board that clearly favors powder and challenging mountain lines, while still offering solid grip on the piste. Its directional shape clearly positions the nose forward for better turning and lift, while its 3D Crust Buster nose helps cut through crusty or groomed snow. Its hybrid camber, dubbed "Cruise Camber" by Amplid, combines grip and pop underfoot with greater forgiveness and floatation at the tips.

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
