Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Armada Blueprint is an accessible, no-fuss freeride board: directional, with classic camber, designed to tackle varied terrain without sacrificing feel on the snow. A model with a clear positioning, straddling the line between hardcore all-mountain riding and powder runs, with enough character to make riders want to take it out every time the slopes open.

What’s the Armada Blueprint snowboard all about?

The Armada Blueprint is designed to cover the entire mountain, with a strong preference for powder, the edges of the slopes, and carved turns on groomed snow. Its medium flex provides a good balance between stability at high speeds and maneuverability in tighter sections. Its directional shape features a well-defined nose and tail, making it feel more natural in turns and in powder than when riding switch. Its classic camber, arched underfoot, enhances grip, pop, and precision, but requires a sufficiently committed riding style.

Who is the Armada Blueprint snowboard designed for?

The Blueprint is designed for intermediate to advanced riders who want to explore the mountain beyond the marked trails, without being backcountry experts.

  • Riders who switch between trails and forest edges
  • Snowboarders looking for clean carving and grip in all conditions
  • Riders drawn to powder but who don’t want a purely freeride board

A good choice if you’re looking for a versatile, freeride-oriented board that’s reliable on groomed runs and off-piste.

Not recommended if your priority is the park, features, and kickers: this board isn’t designed for that.

What are the main qualities of the Armada Blueprint snowboard?

Grip

Stability

Versatility

Can you ride the Blueprint switch?

The Blueprint’s directional shape isn’t designed for switch riding: the nose and tail are clearly distinct, which makes it uncomfortable in that direction. For regular switch riding, you’ll need to opt for a twin-tip board.

What kind of base does the Blueprint have, and how does that affect everyday use?

The Blueprint features an extruded base, which is easier to maintain than a sintered base: it requires less regular waxing, making it well-suited for on-piste and all-mountain riding without intensive prep.

Is the Blueprint suitable for powder?

Yes, the combination of the directional shape and classic camber gives the Blueprint good performance in powder: the nose naturally picks up an angle, and the board rides well in light snow. It’s not a directional powder board, but it performs very well once the snowpack is broken up.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
