The Armada Do-Si-Do is a snowboard designed specifically for female snowboarders who want to explore the entire mountain without limiting themselves to the park. Directional and featuring an accessible flex, it carries Armada’s freestyle DNA in a women’s version built for fun from start to finish—from edge-of-the-run hits to features and turns.

What is the Armada Do-Si-Do snowboard designed for?

The Armada Do-Si-Do is designed for riding the entire mountain with a clear focus on freestyle: trails, off-piste, features, side hits, and kickers. Its stable and dynamic handling lets you string together turns and then take advantage of every bit of terrain to launch an ollie or hit a jump. Its directional shape clearly distinguishes the front from the back, making it feel more natural in turns and in powder than when riding switch. Its hybrid camber combines camber underfoot for grip and pop with rocker at the tips for greater forgiveness and float.

Can you ride the Armada Do-Si-Do switch?

Its directional shape makes it less comfortable in switch than a twintip: it’s designed to be ridden in one preferred direction. It remains maneuverable for occasional switch riding, but that’s not its forte.

What kind of base does the Armada Do-Si-Do have, and why does it matter?

The Do-Si-Do features a sintered base, which is denser and faster than a traditional extruded base, absorbs wax better, and retains its glide longer. In practical terms, you’ll glide better on flat terrain and over features without having to wax the base every other day.

Is the Armada Do-Si-Do suitable for park kickers?

Yes: the central camber underfoot generates a crisp pop on takeoff, and the flat Titanal Impact reinforcements (aluminum alloy reinforcements positioned at the inserts) stabilize the board upon impact and landing. You’ll take off with precision and handle landings without the board going all over the place.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
