The Bataleon Disaster+ is the big sister of the Disaster. It remains in the same vein, namely freestyle. Slightly stiffer in this version, the Disaster+ is a board resolutely geared towards the park and tricks. The added stiffness provides a bit more pop and responsiveness without turning the board into a freeride behemoth. It's a true park toy.

What is the Bataleon Disaster+ snowboard made for?

An evolution of the Disaster, the Disaster+ shares many characteristics with its original version but with a touch more power. With its twin-tip shape, wood core reinforced with fibreglass and carbon, Hyper Glide 5 base, and Shock Walls edges, it's imperative to secure your bindings well before dropping in. Its traditional camber ensures good grip on hard snow and delivers plenty of pop underfoot. This board loves to be pushed to its limits. It's a really fun board that will delight anyone looking for a playful ride with plenty of response.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
