Description

The Bataleon Goliath+ is the ultimate evolution of the brand’s legendary ATV: a versatile, freeride-oriented board built for riders who won’t compromise on performance. It builds on the Goliath’s DNA while refining it in every way, for those who want a board tailored for demanding terrain and varied conditions.

What is the Bataleon Goliath+ snowboard designed for?

The Goliath+ is a versatile freeride board: at home anywhere on the mountain, with a real preference for the edges of the slopes, powder zones, and rugged terrain. Its directional twin shape—generally symmetrical with a slight rearward offset—lets you ride switch effortlessly while maintaining solid control in regular stance. The classic camber delivers pop, crisp edge grip on hard snow, and precision that demands you really commit. SideKick technology slightly raises the edges at the nose and tail, which makes turn entries smoother and helps the board float a little better in fresh snow.

Who is the Bataleon Goliath+ snowboard designed for?

The Goliath+ is designed for advanced to expert snowboarders who want a no-compromise board capable of adapting to all conditions without sacrificing precision or responsiveness.

  • The all-around snowboarder who wants a single board for the entire season, regardless of the snow conditions
  • Those looking for a responsive ride and precise control on challenging terrain

Best suited if you have the solid fundamentals to handle a demanding board.

Avoid this if you’re a beginner or looking for a board geared toward park and freestyle riding.

What are the main qualities of the Bataleon Goliath+ snowboard?

Grip

Stability

Versatility

Is the Bataleon Goliath+ suitable for fresh snow?

The Goliath+ isn’t a board designed specifically for deep powder, but it performs well in light fresh snow thanks to the SideKick, which raises the contact points at the nose and tail, promoting float. For regular off-piste runs in deep powder, a board with a pronounced rocker profile will be better suited.

What specific benefits do the Carbon Stringers provide on the Goliath+?

Carbon Stringers are carbon fiber inserts integrated into the board’s construction: extremely lightweight, they increase the board’s responsiveness and amplify pop upon takeoff, while absorbing some of the vibrations on hard or groomed snow. The result is a lively and dynamic board that responds immediately to every input.

Can you ride the Goliath+ switch?

Yes, the Goliath+’s twin-directional shape allows for switch riding without major issues, thanks to its generally symmetrical design. The slight directional offset is subtle and doesn’t compromise ease of switch riding.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
