Description

The Bataleon Women's Disaster is a freestyle-oriented board designed for female snowboarders who want to start having fun on features and rails. Its flexible and accessible nature gives it the perfect personality for a board designed to introduce riders to jibbing.

What is the Bataleon Women's Disaster snowboard line?

The Women’s Disaster is a park board designed for jibbing: rails, boxes, and features are its playground, where its very flexible flex provides plenty of room for error on landings and approaches. It’s a twintip (a perfectly symmetrical board, identical at the front and back), which means riding switch—that is, in the opposite direction of its natural orientation—is possible without any compromise. Bataleon calls its profile "Low Camber": a classic, gently curved camber that preserves pop and grip while offering greater forgiveness.

Who is the Bataleon Women’s Disaster snowboard designed for?

The Women’s Disaster is designed for beginner to intermediate female snowboarders who want to learn and progress without frustration.

  • Female snowboarders who want a board that’s easy to handle and forgiving of positioning mistakes
  • Female snowboarders taking their first steps on features and rails

A top choice if you’re just starting out or improving in freestyle park and want a board that won’t penalize you when your technique isn’t quite there yet.

Avoid this board if you’re looking for a board capable of handling big kickers or heading off-piste into powder: that’s not what this board was built for.

Can the Women’s Disaster be ridden just as well in switch as in regular?

Yes, absolutely: its perfectly symmetrical twintip construction means there’s no difference in handling between the two riding directions. You can switch between regular and switch without feeling any imbalance.

What exactly does the 3BT + SideKick technology bring to the board?

3BT (Triple Base Technology) is Bataleon’s signature feature: the edges of the board are slightly raised at three points, which reduces the risk of unintentional edge catch and makes transitions smoother. The SideKick complements this profile by also raising the nose and tail, making it easier to initiate turns.

What is the Hyper Glide S base?

It’s Bataleon’s standard base, a sintered base that ensures good glide for everyday use. It’s well-suited for regular riding.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
