Description

The Burton Chicklet is a kids snowboard that will help your little girl make her first steps, or rather their first glides on the slopes! Flexible and accessible, this board offers all the forgiveness beginners need to handle edge-catch and link descents without getting tired.

What's on the agenda for the Burton Chicklet snowboard?

This Burton board ticks all the right boxes to facilitate learning. You'll find a flat camber working together with little rockers and a soft flex, the flat camber makes the board more forgiving on edge-catch all while offering a securing handling on piste. And that's just perfect to learn how to nail short turns! The early rise in the tips make the board less catchy for even more accessibility, even better, your little girl will be able to follow you on the soft spring snows at the bottom of the resort! Cherry on top, the flex was specially designed for lightweight riders for even more agility. You can expect beautiful days ahead!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
