The Burton Stylus has a lightweight, flexible and durable wood core, reinforced by fiberglass. To put it together, Super Sap glue is used, a more sustainable alternative to the more commonly used epoxy resin. The Stylus is a high-quality yet affordable board designed to help you progress at your pace on every slope.

What is the Burton Stylus snowboard made for?

The Stylus has a twin-tip shape, ideal for freestyle riding, allowing to ride switch. Before you start sending tricks, you’ll need to learn skidded and carved turns. To help you do so, the Stylus has a flat camber, to be forgiving and provide secure grip. The rockers on the tips make turning smoother and help ride on heavy slush, as well as powder. Simply put, the Stylus is an intuitive board, ideal to progress at your pace.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
