Snowboard Antigravity

The Gnu Antigravity is a versatile freestyle snowboard with a directional shape. Very enjoyable to ride in any terrain, you will notice right away its nimbleness and precision in turns.

What is the program of the Gnu Antigravity snowboard?

With its directional shape, the Antigravity is easy to handle and allows to enter turns effortlessly and remain in control of your trajectory all the way through. On the other hand, its name is no accident, the Antigravity is built to make you feel like you are floating above the snow. The goal is reached thanks to the slight setback stance. This allows a stable position in powder as your centre of gravity is moved toward the tail, helping the nose to lift over pow. If you spend some time on groomers between freeride sessions, you will notice that the classic camber of the Antigravity provides precision and power, and that the Magne-Traction serrated edges ensure efficient grip on hard pack. In addition, the aspen/paulownia wood core is sustainable and FSC certified (standard guaranteeing the timber comes from a sustainably managed forest).

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.

Is my board ready-to-use ?

The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

How to maintain your equipment ?

Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
