Snowboard Gloss

The Gloss women’s snowboard from Gnu is a twin-tip model, meaning it is 100 % symmetrical, both in terms of shape and placement of the inserts. This type of shape allows you to ride the way you want, to let your imagination run wild in freestyle. With its W camber, the Gloss benefits at the same time from the advantages of classic and reverse cambers. Indeed, its unique profile offers both power in the turns and pop thanks to the camber under the feet, while remaining nimble thanks to the rocker in the centre of the board. The edges benefit from the Magne Traction construction, which enhances grip on hardpack for maximum liveliness on groomed runs or in the terrain park. Its floatability will allow you to have fun off-piste, while its flex will let you throw freestyle tricks.

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.

Is my board ready-to-use ?

The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

How to maintain your equipment ?

Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
