Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Jones Flagship Pro is a directional freeride snowboard designed for technical descents, steep slopes, and fast carving on hard snow, right up to the most challenging backcountry conditions.

What are the features of the Jones Flagship Pro snowboard?

Its directional shape with a wide nose and rear-set inserts, combined with a hybrid camber profile featuring rocker at the nose and camber between the feet, provides lift in powder and grip on hardpack. The Fusion Carbon construction, which combines carbon and wood, and the lightweight Koroyd core reduce vibrations and chatter at very high speeds. The Power Plates—bamboo and rubber plates positioned on either side of the bindings—add responsiveness and shock absorption. The factory-waxed Ultra Base sintered base glides fast and resists wear.

Who is the Jones Flagship Pro snowboard designed for?

It’s aimed at riders who push hard in freeride, on steep terrain and at high speeds, seeking stability and responsiveness. Its high stiffness and unforgiving nature make it suitable only for advanced to expert riders who are the most committed.

Responsiveness

What do the Flagship Pro’s Power Plates offer?

These are bamboo and rubber plates positioned at the front and rear of each binding. They reduce vibrations and enhance responsiveness underfoot, which stabilizes the board during quick turns.

Does the Flagship Pro float in powder?

Yes. The rocker at the nose, the directional shape, and the Float Pack Inserts—which set the bindings further back—help the board float in deep snow, provided you maintain speed.

What’s the difference between the Jones Flagship Pro and the Flagship?

The design and profile are identical: directional freeride, hybrid camber. The Flagship Pro stands out thanks to its Fusion Carbon construction, Power Plates, lightweight Koroyd core, and Forever Flex technology, which stabilizes the flex over time. It’s stiffer, offers more damping at high speeds, and is more demanding to ride. The standard Flagship, made of Triax fiberglass, remains a bit more accessible for an equivalent ride.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
