Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Jones Mind Expander 2.0 snowboard is a versatile freeride board designed for aggressive carving on the groomed slopes, riding off-piste, and maintaining float when the snow gets deep.

What is the Jones Mind Expander 2.0 snowboard designed for?

The Mind Expander 2.0 is designed for riders who want a directional board capable of stringing together clean turns on the groomed slopes and powder runs. Its camber + rocker profile combines grip between the feet with a nose that naturally lifts in fresh snow thanks to the Christenson Surf Rocker. The Bamboo Surf Core provides responsiveness, while Traction Tech enhances edge hold on hard snow. The Sintered 8000 base rounds out the package with excellent glide for days when terrain varies widely.

Who is the Jones Mind Expander 2.0 snowboard designed for?

This board is suitable for intermediate to advanced riders who already have good balance and want a versatile, stable, grippy, and effective freeride board in powder without sacrificing precision on the piste.

Yes. Traction Tech adds contact points along the edge to improve grip, especially on firm slopes or uneven snow.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
