Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Jones Twin Sister Junior is an all-mountain freestyle snowboard designed for young female riders who want to explore the entire mountain, from groomed runs to the snowpark and even fresh powder, with a maneuverable board that supports their progress without being too demanding.

What are the features of the Jones Twin Sister Junior snowboard?

The Twin Sister Junior features the same directional twin shape as the adult version, scaled down for younger riders. Its CamRock profile combines camber between the feet—for pop and grip—with rocker zones at the nose and tail that provide forgiveness and float. The dual-density wood core made of paulownia and poplar, combined with biaxial fiberglass, gives it an accessible flex and a responsive feel without being too demanding. It performs equally well on groomed runs, park features, and in soft snow.

Who is the Jones Twin Sister Junior snowboard designed for?

Maneuverable and forgiving, the Twin Sister Junior is designed for young female riders who are already comfortable on the mountain—from intermediate to advanced—and are looking for a versatile board to tackle the groomed runs, the park, and off-piste terrain. It supports the transition to a full-fledged all-mountain freestyle riding style while remaining accessible for everyday use.

What are the main features of the Jones Twin Sister Junior snowboard?

Maneuverability

Forgiveness

Is the Twin Sister Junior suitable for the snowpark?

Yes. The camber between the feet provides pop for jumps and features, and its accessible flex makes it easy to pull off first tricks like butters. It performs best on kickers and flat terrain rather than on highly technical jibs.

How does the Twin Sister Junior perform in powder?

The nose rocker and directional twin shape facilitate lift and planing in fresh snow. It performs well on soft snow, though it isn’t a specialized powder board.

Can you ride switch on the Twin Sister Junior?

Yes. The symmetrical sidecut of the directional twin makes it comfortable in both directions. The slightly longer nose favors riding in the regular stance, but riding switch still feels natural.

What does the CamRock profile offer?

It combines classic camber between the feet—for grip and pop—with rocker zones at the nose and tail that add forgiveness and lift. This combination minimizes edge catch while maintaining responsiveness.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
