Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Jones Twincraft snowboard is a directional twin designed for powder and play throughout the entire resort, equally at home carving through deep snow as it is pulling off a few tricks wherever the terrain takes you.

What’s the deal with the Jones Twincraft snowboard?

Its Surf Camber profile combines camber between the feet with rocker at the nose and tail, giving it responsive edge grip while facilitating lift as soon as the snow gets deep. The extra-wide twin outline and short sidecut make edge changes sharp and make it easy to float in powder. The volume-shifted shape concentrates the surface area underfoot to provide float without requiring a long board length. Designed by surf shaper Chris Christenson, it maintains a surfy ride that performs equally well in fresh snow and on packed snow.

Who is the Jones Twincraft snowboard designed for?

It’s designed for riders who want a playful board to explore the mountain, carve through powder, and still be able to ride switch. Its medium flex and forgiving nature make it accessible to intermediate to advanced riders, without limiting progression too quickly for those seeking a more aggressive ride later on.

What are the main qualities of the Jones Twincraft snowboard?

Buoyancy

Maneuverability

Versatility

Does the Twincraft float well in powder?

Yes. The volume-shifted shape and nose rocker provide good lift and allow you to float without shifting your weight too far back on the board. The short sidecut keeps turns sharp even in deep snow.

Is the Twincraft suitable for the park?

Yes, for side hits and kickers: its twin outline and medium flex make it playful, and the rocker forgives slightly rough landings. It’s less suited for technical jibbing and rails.

Can you ride the Twincraft switch?

Yes. Its twin outline is nearly symmetrical, which makes riding switch easier than on a classic directional board, while still maintaining a strong focus on powder.

What’s the difference between the Twincraft and the Mind Expander 2.0?

Both share the Surf Camber profile and the surf-inspired design of the Surf Series. The Mind Expander 2.0 is a directional board with taper and setback, designed for powder and aggressive one-way lines. The Twincraft, with its extra-wide twin outline, rides better switch and is better suited for the park and playing around all over the mountain.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
