Product description — Women's Stratos

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Jones Women's Stratos is a versatile all-mountain board, finely blending the stability and power of a freeride snowboard with the playability of a freestyle model. Its hybrid design makes it a partner of choice for memorable outings in the powder, without compromising performance on the piste.

What's in the program for the Jones Women's Stratos snowboard?

The Women's Stratos has been designed to offer optimum versatility across the whole range. Its directional shape, with a long spatula rocker and refined tail, makes it easy to float in deep snow, while its short curve radius and accessible flex add a freestyle touch, ideal for fluid, playful gliding. Classic camber underfoot, combined with Traction Tech 3.0 wavy edges, guarantees secure grip on hard or icy snow. As for the basalt reinforcements integrated into the wood core, they increase bounce out of turns, while providing stability and vibration absorption, for dynamic, controlled linking.

Who is the Jones Women's Stratos snowboard for?

The Women's Stratos is aimed at intermediate to advanced snowboarders, looking for a versatile, fluid and responsive model. It's a board that's easy to get to grips with, capable of adapting to any terrain and delivering energy and control in both freeride and freestyle.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
