Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Jones Women's Twin Sister snowboard is a versatile directional twin for women, designed to ride all over the mountain—from the park to powder—with a forgiving flex and a hybrid camber that combines pop, lift, and easy handling.

What are the features of the Jones Women's Twin Sister snowboard?

The Twin Sister combines a twin-directional shape with a hybrid camber profile, featuring camber between the feet and rockers at the nose and tail. The camber provides pop and grip, while the rockers add forgiveness and lift in fresh snow. Its poplar-paulownia wood core keeps it light and shock-absorbing, and Traction Tech enhances edge grip on hard snow. The Sintered 8000 base offers fast, long-lasting glide.

Who is the Jones Women’s Twin Sister snowboard designed for?

Riders looking for a single board to do it all—from the park to the trees to powder—will find the Twin Sister to be a well-balanced and easy-going board. Its forgiving flex and versatility make it suitable for intermediate to advanced riders, from practice sessions to fast-paced riding on all types of terrain.

Pop

Can you ride the Twin Sister switch and in the park?

Yes. Its twin-directional shape and the pop from its hybrid camber make it comfortable in switch, on kickers and side hits, though slightly less so on the most technical jibs.

Does it float in powder?

Yes. The nose and tail rockers lift the tips and provide good lift in fresh snow for a board of this size.

Does it grip well on hardpack?

Yes. The camber between the feet and the Traction Tech, which adds contact points along the edge, ensure reliable grip on groomed snow.

How does it differ from the Jones Women’s Rally Cat?

The Twin Sister features a hybrid camber with rockers, which is more forgiving and provides better float in powder, making it ideal for all-mountain riding. The Rally Cat retains a classic camber, which offers better grip and more pop, and is geared more toward the park and the groomed runs. Two similar directional twins, but one is more versatile, while the other is more suited for freestyle and groomed runs.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
