Description

The K2 Alchemist is a high-performance snowboard, boasting several advanced technologies to make it a powerhouse that's stable and manoeuvrable. Among its features, it features a Bambooyah Pro core, triaxial fibreglass, Spectral Braid reinforcements, and Carbon Powder Fork. Precision, responsiveness, and liveliness are all part of the package, unleashing the full power of the board. Its meticulous construction also includes a superior quality base, composed of carbon particles for an exceptional glide.

What is the K2 Alchemist snowboard made for?

The integrated technologies in the Alchemist are all the more sophisticated because its purpose is simple: riding hard and riding everywhere. As its name suggests, K2 has worked as a true alchemist to create an aggressive and versatile board, capable of adapting to the backcountry or groomers with a lot of control and precision. Its bamboo core is lightweight yet extremely powerful, while its exceptional torsional stiffness and reinforcements in the tail improve stability. The traditional camber ensures remarkable edge control and fantastic grip. The front rocker and the slightly set-back stance shift the weight slightly to the rear, ensuring good float in powder and facilitating the turn initiation.

Who is the K2 Alchemist snowboard aimed at?

This model is specifically designed for advanced and expert snowboarders who are powerful and skilled, and who enjoy freeriding as well as fast and powerful turns.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
