Product description — Almanac

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

Riders who love to explore new horizons will find the K2 Almanac—a snowboard—tailored just for them. Its eye-catching, unmistakable design makes it stand out from the crowd both on the snow and at first glance. While it’s primarily geared toward freeriding, its versatility allows it to tackle any terrain with flair and ease.

What are the features of the K2 Almanac snowboard?

A camber + rocker profile and versatile freeride orientation sum up the K2 Almanac’s design. Between the bindings, the classic camber ensures firm grip on hard snow, while the rocker at the tail and tip provide good float in powder and greater forgiveness on technical terrain. On the slopes, its directional shape makes riding smoother, initiates turns more easily, and stabilizes the board when fresh snow comes into play.

Who is the K2 Almanac snowboard designed for?

Intermediate to advanced riders who effortlessly switch between on-piste and off-piste riding will find this the ideal model. The K2 Almanac is designed for those who want to refine their technique without sacrificing any fun, with a board ready to take them on increasingly challenging rides.

Is the Almanac suitable for powder?

Yes. The tip rocker and the additional front insert pattern, which allows you to move the binding back, enhance float in deep snow.

Does the Almanac grip well on hard snow?

Yes. The camber underfoot, combined with tip-to-tail carbon reinforcement, provides good grip and crisp response when carving on the piste.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
