Product description — Hypnotist

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The K2 Hypnotist snowboard is the top-of-the-line twin park board in the lineup: a machine built for speed, designed for kickers and transitions. Everything about it is tuned for precision and explosive power.

What is the K2 Hypnotist snowboard designed for?

The Hypnotist is built to take park riding to the next level: big kickers, technical rails, and transitions. Its perfectly symmetrical 100% twintip shape delivers exactly the same performance in both regular and switch. Its classic camber arches the board in the center for explosive pop, precise edge grip, and stable landings. Its stiff flex makes it an ultra-responsive and demanding board that reacts instantly as speed builds up before a feature.

Who is the K2 Hypnotist snowboard designed for?

This board is designed for advanced to expert riders capable of handling a stiff, precise board on challenging park lines.

  • Big kickers and fast park runs
  • Transitions and halfpipe
  • Technical rails at high speed

Ideal if you’re already riding aggressively and looking for a board that responds to every pressure point.

Avoid this board if you’re new to the park—it doesn’t forgive many mistakes.

Frequently Asked Questions About the K2 Hypnotist Snowboard

Can the Hypnotist handle big landings?

Yes. The classic camber and stiff construction absorb the impact from big kickers while keeping the board stable.

Can you ride the Hypnotist switch?

Yes. Its perfectly symmetrical twin-tip design makes riding switch just as natural as riding forward—a real advantage for spins.

What’s the difference between the Hypnotist and the World Peace?

Two twin-tip park boards with classic camber. The Hypnotist, stiff and explosive, is designed for riders who go all out; the World Peace, more flexible and playful, supports progression on features.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
