Here's the little boys' board developed by K2! The Mini Turbo is a super small board for a gentle introduction to snowboarding that will transform the first rides into child's play!

What's on the agenda for the K2 Mini Turbo snowboard?

The Mini Turbo was specially designed to facilitate learning. To do so, it was fitted with it a very soft flex suited to the kids' size and strength along with a shape that makes it easier to initiate turns and master their first moves. The flat camber is very forgiving so your child will be able to go on the edges without falling, there's also a light rocker on each tip for more forgiveness and more importantly, a better riding comfort on the soft snow you usually find at the bottom of the slopes. Finally, if you want to accompany your kid for its first moments on his board, you'll find little holes on the tips, you can pass a cord through there and use the board as a sledge!

Who is the K2 Mini Turbo snowboard for?

For little boys who want to start snowboarding! Perfect from the very first ride to the first descent on their own, the K2 Mini Turbo is available in different length depending on the size of your child.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
