Description

The Raygun is a slightly directional board, designed to offer efficiency on all terrains. Offering forgiveness on the track thanks to its flat camber while maintain reactivity and stability thanks to its fiberglass and carbon fiber reinforced wood shell, it is basically an evolutionary model that offers a good margin for progression throughout the resort.

What is the Raygun K2 snowboard's programme?

On the K2 Raygun, the position of the feet is slightly reclined and the rocker is directional, more pronounced at the front than at the back, in order to facilitate the entry of curves on all types of snow and to provide a better edge in deep snow. However, it remains balanced allowing you to switch back after a 180°, giving you the possibility to have fun in freestyle. The flat camber provides a good compromise between grip/tolerance on hard snow, while the board's tonic flex provides stability during speed and responsiveness from edge to edge. It's neither too rigid and allows you to link descents without fatigue, with the possibility of varying between on and off-piste at will!

Who is the Raygun K2 snowboard designed for?

We recommend this model to intermediate/confirmed snowboarders looking for a board that can go through all types of snow, whilst offering the playability needed to vary the rhythms, ride leisurely and set a few tricks.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
