Description

The K2 Standard snowboard has a symmetrical shape between the front and the back, with a slightly backward foot position and a slightly more pronounced rocker in the front. The idea is to create a board that makes turns easier, works equally well on the piste and in powder snow, while remaining well-balanced for freestyle.

What is the program of the K2 Standard snowboard?

The K2 Standard is built on a soft and strong fiberglass reinforced wood core. It offers an accessible flex, allowing you to handle the board easily and without getting tired after two runs. The flat camber ensures a good compromise between grip and tolerance on hard snow, providing a secure feeling and avoiding edge errors. This camber also works in the powder on the edges of the piste where you can enjoy yourself after building up some confidence on the piste. Those who are more at ease will be able to gradually build up momentum and discover freestyle in the snowpark.

Who is the K2 Standard snowboard for?

This model is designed for beginner to intermediate snowboarders. Beginners will find all the necessary tolerance to learn the basics, while intermediates will take advantage of its playability and versatility to continue to progress throughout the resort.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
