Description

The K2 Vandal benefits from a simple and efficient shape, typical of modern freestyle snowboards. It is indeed a twin-tip, i.e. a board symmetrical from nose to tail, which allows you to ride forward as well as backward and has great trick skills. Beware, this is not a board reserved exclusively for the snowpark, it goes everywhere and allows you to progress throughout the resort.

What is the programme of the K2 Vandal snowboard?

In addition to its twin-tip shape, the K2 Vandal has a quality construction with a wood core reinforced with a biaxial fibreglass braid, all of which offers responsiveness while remaining energy efficient and tolerant even for small riders. The flat camber provides a secure grip on the track, providing grip while forgiving some mistakes. It also works on fresh snow, especially with the extra lift provided by the rockers on the spatula. Finally, the K2 Vandal offers all the necessary playability to get started in freestyle and make your debut in the snowpark. An easy to handle, evolutionary and versatile snowboard for the next generation of riders!

Who is the K2 Vandal snowboard for?

This model is designed for children and teenagers who already have a basic knowledge of snowboarding and are in need of a board that is easy to handle, evolutionary and versatile enabling progression and fun in the whole resort.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
