Product description — Glider

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Lib Tech Glider is the versatile women’s freestyle board in the lineup, a direct successor to the Skate Banana. It’s a board designed for riders looking for a playful and intuitive twin-tip to ride all over the mountain.

What are the features of the Lib Tech Glider snowboard?

It’s an ultra-versatile freestyle board, equally at home on features as it is anywhere else on the mountain, with a fluid and forgiving ride. Its twin-tip shape lets you string together switch runs without even thinking about it. The W Rocker Original Banana profile—rocker between the feet extended by camber all the way to the tips—makes the board easy to handle and playful, with enough pop to have fun on the features.

Who is the Lib Tech Glider snowboard designed for?

Designed for intermediate to advanced riders, the Glider is aimed at those who want a single, versatile, no-fuss board.

  • Riders who ride a little bit of everything and want an accessible board.
  • Riders who enjoy riding switch and hitting features without seeking pure performance.
  • Lighter riders: the flex and construction are designed with them in mind.

What are the main qualities of the Lib Tech Glider snowboard?

Versatility

Playfulness

Forgiveness

Is the Glider easy to ride switch?

Yes, its twin-tip shape is symmetrical, which makes riding switch just as natural as riding forward. A real asset for improving your freestyle skills.

Is the Original Banana profile suitable for improving your skills?

Yes, its central rocker makes edge catches more forgiving and helps you recover from mistakes. It’s an ideal profile for gaining confidence without getting caught out.

What’s the difference between the Glider and the Skate Banana?

The Glider is the women’s version, with a construction and flex tailored to lighter riders, while the Skate Banana is the original true twin, designed for heavier riders. Same playful Original Banana spirit, different construction.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
