Product description — Mayhem Ripper

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Lib Tech Mayhem Ripper is a flexible board with a design by Matt Biolos. It’s a freestyle board that’s perfect for riders who love kickers and features and are looking for a playful, accessible twin-tip.

What is the Lib Tech Mayhem Ripper snowboard all about?

It’s a board built for the park , at home on kickers and features alike, with a playful and forgiving ride. Its true twin shape makes it perfectly symmetrical for riding and landing in switch without a second thought. The Camber profile provides good edge grip.

Who is the Lib Tech Mayhem Ripper snowboard designed for?

Designed for the intermediate to advanced rider, the Mayhem Ripper is aimed at those who want to improve their park skills with quality gear.

  • Riders who spend most of their days in the snowpark.
  • Those who want to be able to hit their favorite tricks and spots in switch to mix things up and add a little adrenaline.
  • Freestylers who prefer a playful twin-tip to a stiff board.

A top choice if the park is your main playground. Avoid this board if you’re looking for a board for deep powder or aggressive carving.

What are the main features of the Lib Tech Mayhem Ripper snowboard?

Pop

Park-friendly

Playfulness

Is the Mayhem Ripper suitable for riding switch?

Yes, its true twin shape is perfectly symmetrical, providing the same ride feel in both directions. Ideal for riding and landing in switch in the park.

Is the C3 camber forgiving on landings?

Yes, the C3’s central rocker softens edge catches and forgives imperfect landings, while maintaining the camber’s pop. A good compromise for improving your skills on features.

What’s the difference between the Mayhem Ripper and the Terrain Wrecker?

The Mayhem Ripper features a C3 hybrid camber, geared more toward pop and kickers, while the Terrain Wrecker uses a more versatile C2x W Rocker profile, capable of taking you beyond the park to the entire mountain. Two similar freestyle twins—one more park-oriented, the other more all-mountain.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
