Product description — Mayhem Sweetfish

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Lib Tech Mayhem Sweetfish is a 100% freeride board. Its directional shape with a swallowtail makes it ideal for riding in big conditions. This board is designed for riders who want to experience the thrill of surfing on the mountain’s untouched slopes.

What is the Lib Tech Mayhem Sweetfish snowboard designed for?

It’s a board dedicated to powder, designed to float effortlessly and surf deep snow with maximum planing. Its directional shape, elongated nose, and swallowtail allow the front to lift and the rear to sink, delivering a surf-like ride. The Camber profile provides good edge grip.

Who is the Lib Tech Mayhem Sweetfish snowboard designed for?

Designed for intermediate to advanced riders, the Mayhem Sweetfish is aimed at those who live for powder days.

  • The rider who hits the slopes as soon as fresh snow falls.
  • The rider looking for a surf-like feel in the powder.
  • The freerider who prioritizes float over versatility.

A top choice if powder is your sole motivation. Avoid it if you want a park board: it’s not designed for jibbing or rails.

What are the main features of the Lib Tech Mayhem Sweetfish snowboard?

Float

Grip

Maneuverability

What is the purpose of the Sweetfish’s swallowtail?

It sinks the rear of the board into the powder to lift the nose and let it float like a surfboard, while increasing control. This is the key to its performance in deep snow.

Does the Sweetfish grip well on hardpack?

It maintains decent grip thanks to its C3 profile, but it’s primarily designed for powder. Groomed runs aren’t its forte.

What’s the difference between the Mayhem Sweetfish and the Mayhem Rocket?

The Sweetfish is truly built to excel in powder, with its swallowtail design, while the Mayhem Rocket leans more toward versatility, offering not only great ease in powder but also excellent performance on groomed snow..

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
