The Nidecker Micron Merc is equipped with a modern freestyle construction, ideal for beginners and progressing on the slopes. So, with a flat camber, rockers, a flexible flex and a symmetrical shape, we know in advance that it will be easy to ride and able to go anywhere!

What is the program of the Nidecker Micron Merc snowboard?

The Micron Merc has a wooden shell that offers both durability and flexibility. It makes the board easy to ride and not physically demanding even for a small rider, who will be able to use it all day long without tiring. The flat camber and rockers provide edging/snow contact that is secure, providing the necessary grip while being very forgiving in the event of an edge fault. The perfect way to learn how to cut turns comfortably. In addition, this profile also works on the edges of the piste, absorbing the irregularities of the terrain and floating in light powder. Finally, thanks to the perfectly symmetrical shape, ideal for freestyle, the risk-takers will be able to try out the modules in the snowpark!

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.

Is my board ready-to-use ?

The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

How to maintain your equipment ?

Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
