Description

The Banker from Nitro is a snowboard developed for a specific discipline, Banked Slalom. Which as the name suggests requires riders to link turns on banked corners. To do so, a directional shape and traditional camber are real assets. The tapered shape of the board and slightly setback foot stance provide maximum control for easier turn initiations. The traditional camber offers great grip and rebound, ideal for carving! Finally, the Powercore II and Sintered Speed Formula HD base should be on the list of the board’s important features. The first offers power and stability, the second an excellent glide quality. To top it all off, thanks to all these characteristics, the Banker works very well on pow, with a great ability to lift, manoeuvrability and a smooth glide!

What are the main assets of the Nitro Banker snowboard?

Responsiveness

Grip

Manoeuvrability

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
