The Nitro Cannon snowboard is a directional freeride board with a very long design (it’s over 2 meters long), designed to break away from traditional lines and enjoy big turns in powder with maximum grip and fantastic float.

What is the Nitro Cannon snowboard designed for?

The Cannon is primarily designed for off-piste riding, in deep snow, and in wide-open spaces where its length really comes into its own. Its directional shape, featuring a wider nose, rear-set inserts, and a sleek swallowtail, gives it excellent performance in fresh powder. The camber + rocker profile combines grip underfoot, acceleration out of turns, and lift at the front. On the piste, it’s capable of carving aggressively, but its size requires space and precise control.

Who is the Nitro Cannon snowboard designed for?

For advanced to expert riders. This board is designed for physically strong riders who are already technically solid and want an unconventional freeride board to ride fast, float well, and mix up their usual sessions.

Yes, especially for carving wide turns. It grips well on hard snow, but its size requires plenty of space.

No. Its freeride design and large dimensions aren’t suited for rails, boxes, or technical tricks in the park.

What skill level is required to ride the Nitro Cannon?

Advanced level minimum. Its imposing size demands physical commitment and good balance.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
