Description

The Nitro Drop snowboard is a versatile women’s freeride board designed for carving turns on groomed runs, with solid grip and stable handling as speed increases.

What is the Nitro Drop snowboard designed for?

The Drop is primarily designed for precise on-piste riding, while remaining versatile enough to venture off-piste or enjoy softer snow. Its directional shape, with a wider nose and slightly rear-set inserts, makes it easier to initiate turns and helps the board float better in light powder. The camber profile between the feet provides grip and pop, while the rockers at the tip make the board more maneuverable and less demanding.

Who is the Nitro Drop snowboard designed for?

Skill level intermediate to advanced. For regular riders who want an accessible board that’s very stable and grippy on the trail, capable of handling a variety of conditions without requiring too much technical effort.

Versatility

Can the Drop handle powder?

Yes, in moderate conditions. Its directional shape and rear-set inserts help it float, even though its primary terrain remains the groomed run.

What skill level is required to ride the Nitro Drop?

Recommended for intermediate riders. It’s fairly accessible thanks to the rockers at the tip, but it’s primarily designed for riders who are already comfortable on a board.

Is the Nitro Drop suitable for freestyle?

It can handle a few jumps or simple tricks thanks to its decent pop and maneuverability, but it’s not a board designed purely for jibbing or the park.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
