Product description — Nova

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

With the Nitro Nova, female riders have an all-mountain board capable of handling all types of terrain with confidence. This Nitro snowboard prioritizes versatility to transition seamlessly from groomed runs to powder fields, while maintaining a real sense of power and control underfoot. Its directional shape , combined with a classic camber, allows it to hold its edge firmly, accelerate efficiently out of turns, and naturally float when the snow gets deeper—whether you’re carving on the piste or riding through the trees. The traditional camber is combined with rocker at the tips to keep the board easy and intuitive to ride.

What is the Nitro Nova snowboard designed for?

The Nova was designed for female snowboarders who don’t want to choose between carving, speed, and freeriding. On groomed snow, its classic camber provides precise control, pop, and plenty of energy to tackle turns with confidence. When conditions get softer, its directional shape and wider nose enhance lift and make navigating powder easier. The wood core rounds out the package by delivering dynamism, snow feel, and a lively ride throughout the descent.

Who is the Nitro Nova snowboard designed for?

The Nitro Nova is suitable for intermediate to advanced female snowboarders who already have the necessary skills to handle a responsive and versatile board. It’s designed for riders who love to explore the entire resort, string together days of riding, and enjoy a board that’s reliable, adaptable, and forgiving enough to remain enjoyable in a variety of snow conditions.

What are the main features of the Nitro Nova snowboard?

Versatile

Grippy

Accessible

Does the Nitro Nova grip well on hard snow?

Yes, its classic camber keeps the edge engaged and provides good grip on hard snow. You need to stay committed to the turn to get the most out of it.

Can you do butters and play with the terrain on the Nitro Nova?

That’s not its strong suit: the classic camber and directional shape make it better suited for carving than for butter tricks. It’ll do the trick for a few presses, but a twin freestyle board will be more comfortable for that.

Does the Nitro Nova stay stable at high speeds?

The directional shape and classic camber give it good stability when you’re carving fast turns. It’s not a pure speed board, but it stays planted at high speeds.

What’s the difference between the Nitro Nova and the Nitro Mystique?

The Nova is a directional board with classic camber, geared toward freeriding and offering solid grip in turns. The Mystique is a directional twin with a W-shaped profile—it’s more flexible, more forgiving, and more comfortable riding switch and on features.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
