Description

A freeride snowboard with a very directional shape, high-end construction, very stiff flex, the Nitro Pantera required precise skills and strong control. It will allow to ride with maximum commitment all over the mountains. It is part of Nitro’s Carver Crue program, which rounds up very efficient boards for carving.

What is the program of the Nitro Pantera snowboard?

The Pantera has a tapered shape, a tail stiffer than the nose, as well as inserts that are substantially located toward the back to place the board with more ease into turns, while naturally improving the ability to lift in powder. This means the board is above all meant for turning, unlike a freestyle board that will offer less precision and control. It features a strong and lightweight core, stiffened by a triple layer of glass fibre and carbon stringers in the length. No matter the speed, the Pantera retains impeccable stability on any terrain. The classic camber allows to get maximum grip and rebound to attack seriously when carving on groomed snow. For freeriding or carving, the Pantera is a true beast.

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
