The Nitro Phase X Motörhead snowboard is a versatile freeride special edition, designed to transition from the piste to off-piste throughout the entire resort and handle both fresh and hard-packed snow.

What are the features of the Nitro Phase X Motörhead snowboard?

The directional shape—with a nose wider than the tail and rear-set inserts—optimizes the board for freeride riding and float in powder. The hybrid camber profile combines classic camber between the feet—for grip and pop—with a pronounced rocker at the tip that makes it easier to float in deep snow. It remains stable at high speeds and grips firmly on hard snow. The rear-set stance makes initiating turns easier.

Who is the Nitro Phase X Motörhead snowboard designed for?

It’s aimed at intermediate to advanced riders who are comfortable on all terrains and snow conditions and make few technical mistakes. It’s a board that pushes you toward a higher skill level while remaining practical for everyday use, without the stiffness of a purely technical board.

Does the Phase X Motörhead float in powder?

Yes. The directional shape, rear-set inserts, and pronounced tip rocker keep the nose on the surface and help it plane in deep snow.

The classic camber between the feet provides crisp edge grip and good acceleration, along with stability at high speeds and a reasonable level of engagement.

Is it suitable for riding switch and in the park?

Its directional orientation and rear-set bindings make it more suited for all-mountain and freeride riding. It can handle a few jumps but isn’t designed for riding switch or jibbing.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
