Description

The Nitro SMP has a directional construction and a flex that offers tone without being too radical. It's easy to handle and allows you to set the rhythm on the pistes, with great efficiency on a wide variety of snow conditions. On the piste, it's a real treat linking cut turns while looking for more and more rebound. It's not for nothing that it is part of Nitro Snowboards' Carver Crue range, which features boards with great carving skills. In addition, this model is equipped with a sintered base offering excellent glide usually offered on higher end models.

What is the program of the Nitro SMP snowboard?

It is not obvious, but the SMP is slightly tapered at the tail, to accompany the setback position of the feet and the directional flex (stiffer on the back of the board) providing maximum efficiency in curves. The turn entries are smooth, the transitions from edge to edge are also smooth, and you'll enjoy the sinuosity whether on the track or between the pines. In addition to offering good grip on the track thanks to its classic camber section, the SMP also offers a nice edge in the pops thanks to the directional construction and the rocker zones in the nose and tail. For those who like to set a few tricks, this is a well-balanced board with which you can switch without difficulty.

Who is the Nitro SMP snowboard for?

This model will please intermediate/confirmed snowboarders looking for a versatile board with which they can ride all over the resort. It is mainly intended for a style of sliding in curves but will be able to accompany you during sessions in the snowpark without any problem.

What are the main qualities of the Nitro SMP snowboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
