The Nitro SMP snowboard is an all-mountain freeride board, with a slightly directional shape, 15 mm setback foot stance and extremely versatile camber profile. These features offer great versatility, enhanced by the flex that is well-balanced between power and forgiveness. 

What is the programme of the Nitro SMP snowboard? 

Designed to make your riding easier, the Nitro SMP benefits from a slightly tapered shape and setback foot stance to offer better control and optimised turn entries. The rocker areas on the tips improve the transitions from one edge to the other, while improving the ride quality on soft and powder snow. The traditional camber section in the middle of the board guarantees the required grip on hardpack. Whether it is soft snow, powder, hardpack or groomed snow, the SMP excels. With its balanced flex, courtesy of the fiberglass-reinforced wood core, the SMP is truly an excellent board to ride various terrains and hone your skills. This mid wide board is as pleasant to ride as a standard width model. The Powerpods offer better grip, improve the responsiveness and smoothen edge transfers.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
