The Nitro Spirit Kids is a kids' snowboard designed with a structure that is both flexible and durable, combined with a forgiving, all-around camber profile. It has everything needed to help kids progress with confidence and have a blast on the slopes.

What are the features of the Nitro Spirit Kids snowboard?

The Spirit Kids features a traditional and reliable design, incorporating a wood core reinforced with biaxial fiberglass. This construction provides a soft, very accessible flex while maintaining good lightness and solid durability. Its flat camber ensures reassuring edge grip, perfect for stringing together gliding turns as well as for learning your first carved turns, with enough forgiveness to minimize edge errors. Thanks to its twintip shape—identical at both the tip and tail—and a well-centered stance, it allows riders to ride just as easily in either direction. A great opportunity to start learning to ride switch right from the very first sessions!

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
