What is the Palmer Burn snowboard made for?

The Burn is designed to take you everywhere, providing memorable experiences on the slopes. On groomed terrain, it stands out with impeccable handling and easy edge holds thanks to the Smart FLF Rocker. It remains stable even at high speeds and on steep descents. Its traditional camber ensures reliable grip on hard snow. Thus, it invites intense carving sessions and frenetic descents. When you leave groomers for powder, its rockers offer the float needed for thrilling off-piste runs and perfect lines in fresh snow. Its ability to generate dynamic pop is ideal for flying off jumps and send rotations. Despite this, the Burn maintains a flexibility that allows budding freestylers to get started in the park. With the Burn, your only limit is your imagination.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
