Product description — Barracuda Carbon

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Raven Barracuda Carbon is a snowboard designed for riders who want to send heavy freestyle without sacrificing stability. Thanks to its four carbon bands, it delivers an explosive, ultra-light pop, perfect for taking off in the park and swinging powerful tricks.

What's in it for the Raven Barracuda Carbon snowboard?

A freestyle-dominant all-rounder, the Barracuda Carbon benefits from a 100% twin-tip shape and a W Rocker camber to combine responsiveness and forgiveness. Its intermediate flex offers the right compromise between high-speed control and maneuverability, both on the piste and in the park. Solid thanks to its poplar core and ABS sidewalls, it retains a nice lightness to stay nimble in the air.

Who is the Raven Barracuda Carbon snowboard for?

This model is aimed at intermediate to advanced snowboarders, looking for a playful and stable board to vary the pleasures. Ideal for progressing in freestyle, it also allows you to have fun on the whole domain.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
