Description

The Commissioner is a snowboard developed by Ride. This is an alpine-oriented board without being completely one. It is very stiff for carving and narrow enough to use serious binding angles.

What is the programme of the Ride Commissioner snowboard?

The Ride Commissioner is an all-mountain freeride board that will satisfy advanced and expert riders seeking a thrilling experience. It enables to carve aggressively on groomed runs, while offering amazing precision and manoeuvrability on deep snow. It inherits the wood core reinforced by carbon and the Carbon Array 5 insert from the previous version, to which the Carbon Slimewalls and Carbon Infused Glass technologies are added, for a stiffer flex and better responsiveness. The directional shape, paired to the camrock profile, promotes the manoeuvrability and facilitates turn initiations, while improving the ability to ride on powder thanks to a good floatability.

Who is the Ride Commissioner snowboard for?

The Ride Commissioner is an all-mountain freeride snowboard, designed to satisfy the thirst for thrills of advanced and expert riders who like carving aggressively on groomed runs and riding with precision and manoeuvrability on deep snow.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
