Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Ride Twinpig snowboard has the particularity of being asymmetrical. The turn radius is different between the frontside and backside edge to compensate the natural lack of power when on the frontside edge. On the snow, this characteristic translates by more control and power, without changing the sensations too much. However, it is important to respect the way the board is ridden to have the edges on the right side. The Twinpig is designed to be ridden slightly shorter, so pick a size a few centimetres below your usual size. Beyond these particularities, the board offers lots of manoeuvrability and versatility.

What is the programme of the Ride Twinpig snowboard?

The Twinpig is a freestyle-oriented board, with its twin-tip shape and responsive and playful flex that enables all kinds of manoeuvres in switch and on jib features. It also works great on piste, where the camber + rocker profile and the asymmetrical edges provide great smoothness when linking turns and maximum control. Grip is good and the flex lets you enjoy good rebound going from one turn to the next without being too demanding physically. Thanks to the rockers you can also have fun in shallow powder on the sides of groomers, what you need to send tricks on natural side hits. With the Twinpig, Ride offers a versatile board allowing you to progress while having a blast with a responsive and playful snowboard.

Who is the Ride Twinpig snowboard for?

The Twinpig is aimed at intermediate to advanced snowboarders looking for a freestyle-oriented board allowing them to ride and send tricks in the entire ski area.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
