Product description — Ravine

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Rome Ravine is a directional snowboard designed to offer precise steering and excellent maneuverability, whatever the snow conditions. Its wood core is reinforced with glass and carbon fibers, giving it both lightness and responsiveness. Thanks to its profile combining camber and rockers, it ensures high-performance behavior on both groomed and powder snow, while its Sintered Speed Base guarantees fast, efficient gliding.

What's in it for the Rome Ravine snowboard?

The Rome Ravine features a directional shape with a contoured nose, firmer flex on the rear and recessed inserts, favoring natural lift in deep snow and excellent fluidity in turns. Easy to pilot, it allows you to link turns in complete relaxation, even on long descents. The classic underfoot camber provides good grip on hard snow, while the tip rockers make it easier to trigger turns and improve lift.

Who is the Rome Ravine snowboard for?

This snowboard is aimed at advanced to expert riders looking for a board that's both powerful and fluid, capable of performing on piste as well as freeride. Perfect for those who like to carve hard turns, ride at high speed and discover all types of terrain, without compromising precision, comfort and versatility.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
