Description

The District Black is a versatile snowboard designed for beginners and freestyle enthusiasts. If offers some forgiveness to technical mistakes, good manoeuvrability on side hits and the ideal flexibility to send freestyle tricks.

What is the program of the Rossignol District Black snowboard?

The District Black snowboard features a 100 % twin-tip shape, meaning the board is completely symmetrical. This allows to ride both ways with the same ease; perfect for freestyle! Then, this snowboard benefits from a soft wood core and light camber to grip on groomed snow. The softness of the District Black enables to forgive technical mistakes and to offer some pop at slow speed so that you can gain in confidence quickly and try a few jib tricks without risk. If at some point you grow tired of groomers and want to try something new, the rocker will allow you to have fun on side hits thanks to its ability to lift in deeper snow.

Who is the Rossignol District Black snowboard for?

This model is meant for beginner to intermediate snowboarders. Its forgiving construction will allow you to hone your skills smoothly and build your confidence quickly. And when you’re ready you’ll even be able to try out freestyling as the flexibility of the board enables to easily land jib tricks.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
