Description

The Sashimi features a highly directional shape designed for curves and versatility, as well as a construction that offers stability and responsiveness while allowing the snowboarder to maintain playability and comfort in the supports. Its 7,500 sintered sole guarantees a good quality of glide.

What is the Rossignol Sashimi snowboard programme?

With lots of volume and rocker at the nose and a tail that tightens and loses in rocker, the Sashimi is a board designed above all to enable you trace in the powder. It offers an excellent flotation, allowing you to launch effortlessly and make turns easily. It's really the best board for slaloming in the snow between the pines, but it also performs very well on the piste. Its classic camber ensures a good grip and you can negotiate precise cut turns, carve and put speed on all the slopes of the resort. It performs well, but is also pleasant to ride, thanks to a flex that maintains the flexibility of the front spatula for easy turn initiation and thanks to the urethane inserts in the shell that help absorb the vibrations.

Who is the Rossignol Sashimi snowboard designed for?

This model is designed for experienced or expert snowboarders who like to ride fast and vary the terrain, but are looking to maintain a comfortable ride and maximum manoeuvrability. Its alternative shape will attract those who like to stand out or who want to buy a second board to discover new sensations.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
