Product description — Hps - Sickstick

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Salomon Hps - Sickstick is an all-terrain snowboard designed for thrill-seekers who want to have a blast in both freestyle and freeride. Imagined by Wolle Nyvelt, this board guarantees responsive, fluid rides thanks to a construction combining bamboo and cork, which both lighten the overall weight and optimize its design by limiting waste.

What's in the Salomon Hps - Sickstick  snowboard program?

The Salomon Hps - Sickstick offers good skills on virgin slopes but also in the park thanks to its Camber + Rocker profile, which combines classic camber underfoot with rockers in the tip. It ensures secure edge hold and energetic relaunch out of turns, while its directional twin shape handles switch transitions with ease while making it more maneuverable as a regular in the peuf.

Who is the Salomon Hps - Sickstick  snowboard for?

This board is aimed at seasoned riders as well as advanced intermediates who already have good control on different terrains and want to push their own limits.

What are the main qualities of the Salomon Hps - Sickstick  snowboard?

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
